Session 2024-06-24 The Sentient journal is a great idea and brings much more vibrancy and background from DM to the campaign setting. However, writing it from the perspective of an uninvolved observer, I am finding it difficult without being the DM and not at the same level of involvement that I prefer to give to my character. Ava  why did things have to get so complicated for this mission, should've been simple. Retrieve the child or what's left of her then bring her back to be repaired by Roland's crew..  there wasn't supposed to be another child there.. especially not one of Baldurs.. I had a small discussion with them before promising to return for her. Come to find out they're moonscorched but it's being fought by their body...Just like how I was with the Phyresis.. I.. I can't leave them there..  the girl's mother was a Verdan based on what I gathered from the sample I took back with me and she has a similar regeneration factor that Baldur had.. she shows clear signs of scorching but she still is able to maintain her sanity. As I awaken from my trance on Roland’s ship - the Stargazer, I ponder on the visions that Lokarra presented to me. Yes, they were that disturbing, and yet enlightening. When I attuned to The Moonblade during the ceremony at the Elven Temple yesterday, I felt it attempt to intrude into my mind, but instead of fighting against it, I remained calm and let the Blade go where it wanted. I opened my soul and mind to it and waited for it to judge if I was worthy of wielding this legendary blade. An Elven Moonblade and in this instance one charged with creating a new Elven House - The House of Lokris. After what seemed for me to be an age, but in actuality was only a moment, the Moonblade sifted through my memories and looked into my soul. During the attunement process, the magic of the Moonblade and the Elven Temple provided a choice to be made.
