During last week's session, I was pretty preoccupied with other things going on in real life, so the recap just isn't as detailed as normal. Otherwise I'm getting used to how to play Gralnir and think I'm going to enjoy him as a character. Ah, gather 'round and lend an ear, for I've more tales from me journal to share, woven from the very fabric of magic and adventure. 'Tis a chronicle of challenge, camaraderie, and the curious turns of fate. As of late, I've been conversin' more with me Ultros Symbiote, a partnership as strange as it is profound. We're workin' on how ta properly use this Telekinesis that I’ve been playin with for a bit before she became a part of me life – together. The Symbiote seems tickled by me efforts in Bladesinging, and it’s willing to aid in me spellcasting—hopefully without me singein' me beard off too much! Since Theren got unceremoniously killed off, I had to create a new character. This time Alex and I were both working on Hill Dwarves without realizing it. When we found out we were, we decided to go ahead make them brothers, since it seems our characters tend to end up dying during the same encounters. It ain't planned, but just seems to work out that way. My new character is a Hill Dwarf Psi Warrior, who swallowed an Ultros Symbiote (still figuring out how that will work and what it is) and will at the next level up move on to Wizard and then pick up Bladesinging when he can. I wanted to play something different than the usual Elf Fighter I seem to gravitate towards and I've been on a Star Wars kick lately. It'll be interesting to see how things work out with him. This is where Dolgrim and Grolnir join the party. Then they all head off to meet with Princess Helena at the King's palace. There is a bit of stuff that happened between when The Merchant killed off Bluebelle and Theren and the party arrived at the Inverness Magic Academy that will be clarified in a forthcoming post. Both Dolgrim and Grolnir had been in the room when they hauled Donkey in for healing and had left the healing room for a short time while something else happened. We went back into the healin room and I asked if the Minotaur was gonna be okay. They nodded and said that he was gonna be fine. Then I asked if their names might be Varrin, Donkey and Verdehile. They told us they were with expressions that signified they wondered what was going on?  They explained that they had just lost two of their party members Bluebelle and Theren, and the same one almost killed Donkey - that Minotaur layin on the healin table. Well, it’s been a pretty wild week around heah aftah I swallowed that Ultros Symbiote. We’re still gettin acquainted and I’m still gettin usta having a girl symbiote inside me growing up and all that. I’ve been mindin me manners a bit more than usual, but trying to live life as normally as possible under the circumstances. Now me brothah Dolgrim got this bright idea that we needed to wake-up the little beastie inside me and see what it does. He offered to use his smallest Fireball on me to see what happens. I looked ‘et him like he had three heads and no sense. Fireballing me ain’t fun, I’ve stood there before and let ‘im do it, when we was younger, just say I done it, but aftahwards had to head to the Academy Infirmary, where I seem to be on a first name basis with all the staff there thanks to brother dearest’s grand ideas. Then I got ta thinking about it…I do need to know what the little beastie is gonna do when I get hit or get magicked on, so it’d be better ta find out now instead...

Well, this is a first for me, it me Theren and I was killed by the Merchant, but he decided bring me back to write this journal entry for reasons you learn below. It turned out that he's some kind of a fallen God, who had the brilliant idea of that this needed to be done. After pawing through my gear, he found and read Lirael’s journal that I had been adding my thoughts to. On a whim decided that he rather liked what he had read. Since the journal was now incomplete with me being dead and unable to add in the next entry for this saga, he decided to bring me back to life temporarily to write the last entry. He found what was going on in Crannog interesting and the journal enlightening. For some reason he thought it was important that the party have a complete record of where they’d been.
